Vinyl Tape, also called PVC or polyvinyl chloride tape, consists of a flexible PVC film with rubber adhesive.  When intended for electrical applications, the adhesive is formulated with a high temperature adhesive.  When used as a marking tape, the vinyl tape will include an aggressive tacky rubber psa.

Striped vinyl tapes are used for warning, caution or danger identification.
